Thanksgiving: Four Local Charities Worth Considering
Today my Starbucks coffee was poured into a holiday cup and I instantly felt overwhelmed. You see I very much enjoy Thanksgiving. I am a big believer in the practice of daily gratitudes, favorite parts of the day with my children and always searching for the high-positive in all situations. As you can imagine, the habit of overlooking this beloved holiday for the practice of jumpstarting gift-giving is the cause for my uneasy wave this morning when handed the (beautifully designed) holiday coffee cup.

And so, in an effort to focus on giving thanks and service, I will leave you with a few local charities that may be the lucky receiver of your generosity this Thanksgiving season. I personally am looking forward to rolling up my sleeves with my family to prepare thanksgiving bags for the needy families within the Bellevue School District. What are your charitable plans this November? The gifts can wait a few more weeks.
